Jakes has grown from a restaurant and one room to 2 restaurants and 29 rooms. Sally and Jason's perception of what is really needed to live the good life is evident not only in buildings and furnishings, but also in their attitude and relationship to community. The opposite of a gated community, Jakes has succeeded in incorporating and participating in the everyday life of Treasure Beach . Tours and activities revolve around what the community does at work and play.
