Boating and fishing excursions are arranged by the ladies at the front desk - Colleen, Tania and Ms. Evon - these girls are gold. Boating and fishing are always entirely dependent on weather. Ted, Peck, Dennis, and Blacka are Jake's boat captains.

Best time is to go is early morning - the earlier the better. Early is the right time to see and catch fish and dawn is the time to site the phenomenal variety of birds and other wildlife on the Black River. In the evening from 4:30 / 5 to sunset is another lovely time to fish and bird watch. Magical full moon excursions can be arranged a few nights each month - inquire at front desk.

Guests can either pull fish traps that have been set by fisherman or drop a line themselves. Fish frequently caught are Snapper, Jack, King Fish and Grouper and guests are encouraged to bring fish back to the restaurant at Jake's for a specially prepared meal.

Fishing: $60.00 per hour per couple and includes 2 rods and bait.
